Continued Success at St. John Fisher Catholic High School
Despite changes in both GCSE grading, and new GCSE courses in many subjects, the students of St. John Fisher Catholic High School have had another excellent set of results. Whilst the changes make comparisons with previous years difficult, our students have achieved extremely highly in all their subjects, with a particularly impressive number of students achieving the EBACC at the top grades.
Mrs Langstaff, Head of School said ‘our students have worked incredibly hard this year, and coped very well with the challenges of new GCSE grades and new courses. They’ve been supported by the hard work of our staff and the fantastic support of parents and carers. We are looking forward to welcoming the vast majority of them into our Associated Sixth Form.’
17 students achieved the very highest level in all their subjects, including Robert White who achieved the challenging Grade 9 in English, English Literature and Maths and A* in all his other courses. Frankie Romer, William Pritchard, Simon Philp, Gwyn Owen, Liam O’Neill, Thomas Hudson, Eimar Griffin, Olivia Dobinson, Chloe Crebbin, Olivia Cook, Anna Bulcock, Sophie Bracewell, Lucy Allen, Sarah Maxwell, Jacqueline Hernandez and Jess Walker also achieved A/A* in all of their subjects, and Grade 7 or above in their English and Maths qualifications. Congratulations to the class of 2017!
