Welcome to PSHCE Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education.

During PSHCE lessons we aim to celebrate the shared values of our country and community, as well as the diversity we all bring to the world. We hope that through the PSHCE curriculum students will develop a sense of personal and social responsibility, becoming active citizens in modern Britain.

Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic education is delivered through one lesson a fortnight to Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Staff Structure

The PSHCE curriculum is designed and led by Mrs E Wooldridge.

Lessons are delivered by a variety of different staff members across the school.

The KS3 curriculum will cover topics such as:

Making a successful transition to secondary school

Resilience and developing a growth mindset

Staying safe online????????????????????????????????????

Democracy and government

Safety when out and about

What it means to be an active citizen

How to be healthy physically and emotionally

Y7 Cyberbullying workshop

Y8 Stand for it? A drama workshop aimed at challenging extremism and radicalisation, presented by Saltmine Theatre Company.

The KS4 curriculum will cover areas such as:

Healthy v abusive relationships

Alcohol and drug awareness

How to keep healthy emotionally and physically

Careers

Financial literacy

British Values

Rights and responsibilities
