The governors are responsible for admission to this Catholic voluntary school. They review and publish their admission’s policy on an annual basis, to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements and the latest Code of Practice. The current policy and admission criteria are available directly from the school and this website.
The admission policy does give priority to baptised Catholic children, although the governors welcome applications from other families. Places are always offered in strict accordance with the published criteria. There are opportunities to visit the school on an Open Day, an Open Evening and a specified school working day in the first half of the Autumn Term prior to the closing date for the normal admission cycle. Families who are moving into the area and require places outside the normal cycle for admission should contact the school directly. For 2017 the admission number on the policy is 196. The admissions committee are applying a variation on this number in 2017 and will accept 230 students.
