Press Release

18 year old Associated Sixth Form student Ellen Millar is breaking new ground for her university degree. Having achieved the top grade in her recent A level French studies, Ellen has accepted a place on an innovative London University degree course based in Paris. The three year degree will enable her to study French ‘on the spot’. The course will also give her an in-depth experience of French culture, politics and history. ‘As with everybody else I have always known that Paris is one of the great cities of the world. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be studying for my university degree in such an exciting environment. Ellen joins 140 other British students on the course and will live in student accommodation in Montreuil. “A real pioneer”, said Russell Pearce, Head of Languages at St. John Fisher School. “Ellen has made the most of her language exchange opportunities while at St. John Fisher. This is a logical next step for her and we will watch her progress with great interest”.
