Wellbeing Marketplace Event – Wednesday 4 March

At lunchtime, there will be representatives attending from different external agencies (Healthy Child Team, Compass Buzz, North Yorkshire Police, Mind, Samaritans, The Ostrich Foundation, Barnardos, Mesmac). The idea is that students from all year groups can look round the Marketplace and ask any questions and/or find out more about support available to them.

Faith in Action

A group of our Faith in Action students along with some Year 10 students who are preparing for Lourdes, made the Pilgrimage to the Chapel of Our Lady of The Crag, Knaresborough. Part of this will be featured on BBC’s Song of Praise on Sunday 16th February. Thanks to Chris Maunder and all the trustees from the Shrine who helped make our Pilgrimage and celebration possible!

Harrogate Does Denim For Dementia – Friday 24 January – Non Uniform Day

Thank you for the warm response we have received to our decision to support research into the dreadful scourge of dementia. Just a reminder, students are NOT required to wear school uniform on the day. Obviously wearing denim on the day, jeans etc. will be ideal. And a further reminder that we are asking for a voluntary contribution of at least £1 through ParentPay or form tutors.

The Carols by Candlelight service at St. John Fisher is one of the school highlights of the year. In preparing to celebrate the coming of the Saviour, we hold a traditional nine lessons and carols service in our beautiful chapel.
