National Youth Theatre Auditions
In March, we hosted National Youth Theatre auditions at SJF for our drama students aged 14 and above. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Iris Wall in Year 9 has been chosen to be in the National Youth Theatre and will be training and performing with the company in London this summer. Iris has been chosen of one of 650 students from over 6000 who applied nationally, and is one of the youngest performers in the company. This is a phenomenal opportunity for Iris and we pass on our warmest congratulations! We will also be helping Iris fundraise for this opportunity and more details about this will follow. Well done, Iris!

National Youth Theatre Auditions at SJF on Saturday, 10am-5pm
Students MUST have registered online in advance on the National Youth Theatre website, and they need to have prepared a monologue of no more than 3 minutes to a high standard, which is in their own accent. Students need to bring lunch and wear comfortable clothes. The morning from 10-1pm will be a group workshop, and students will have an afternoon slot from 2-5pm. Students cannot audition if they have not registered, and they must ensure they are confident and well prepared with their monologue.

House Competition Shrek Winner
Before Christmas, the Drama Department ran a House competition for Y7 and 8 students to write a theatre review of Shrek The Musical, the KS3 Drama trip. We are pleased to announce that the winner was EMILY BEDDIS of 7H who wrote a great review! We loved Emily’s snappy title, attention to detail and great presentation. Please see the photo for Emily’s theatre review of Shrek, which has also been displayed on the Drama Notice Board in the Keelan Centre
