UCI WORLD CYCLING EVENT
School is open as normal throughout the UCI Cycling Event apart from Friday 27th September when we will close at 12.30pm. In order to accommodate the possible longer journeys that students may have to undertake, students will be welcome in school from 7.30am and may stay in the Dining Hall until the normal school open time of 8.15am. For those students who travel by designated school bus, their bus company will be in touch directly with advice of any amendments to route and/or times. Afterschool clubs will not be running during this week. We are expecting students to attend school as normal during this period.
A call for help……
A group of keen scientists in sixth form are keen to establish a Cafe Scientifique this September. Cafe Scientifique is a forum for debating scientific issues in an informal setting. The format is a short talk followed by questions, answers and general discussion and therefore we are looking for speakers working in science and related fields to start an after school discussion over a cuppa. If you can help please contact Dr Langstaff at: firstname.lastname@example.org
School Closes at 2.30pm, Friday 19 July

Reports for Y7 to Y10 Students
All students have received their reports this week.
Clearing of Student Lockers
Please can all students clear their lockers and return their keys to the School Business Manager in the premises office by Wednesday 17th July. If students are going on a trip next week please can they clear their lockers and return their keys by Friday 12 July. Students will not have the same locker that they have this year – they will be reallocated to the incoming year group. Some lockers areas are being removed completely. Items left in lockers will be moved to lost property. All lockers will be opened and cleaned during the summer holidays to be reallocated to a different year group in September.
We have accumulated lots of lost property, in particular unnamed coats. As we have limited storage, if these aren’t claimed by Tuesday 16 July, we will be sending what we can to charity shops.
Please can we remind you to label all property clearly and to collect any lost items from reception ASAP.
