Cross Country Competition Results
On Wednesday 10th October students from SJF represented the school in the county cross country competition at Giggleswick School. All runners performed extremely well, click on the header for full details of the finishing positions.
Y11 and 6th Form Girls’ Football Team
Congratulations and well done to the team competing against Leeds United Foundation Scholarship students in the first round of the National Cup last night. Fishers were tremendous and guaranteed their place in the next round with a 4-2 win!
Girls Football Practice
Girls football practice after school on Wednesday 26 September is cancelled as the U18 girls have a National Cup fixture. Please ensure students attend football practice on Thursday lunch time.
Ethan Hussey – English Schools 1500m Champion
On Fri 13th and Sat 15th July, Ethan Hussey in Year 10 competed in the English Schools Athletics finals in Birmingham. For the second year in a row he won the 1500 metres in a time of 4:01.14, but most impressively is that he was running against boys who were a year older. Ethan has now been selected to run for England in a ‘Home Countries’ event to be held at Grangemouth, Scotland on the weekend of the 21st July. A massive well done from everyone at St John Fisher.

Congratulations to all the athletes who had an outstanding day at Cleckheaton Athletics Stadium on Thursday, 28 June. Good luck to the Y7 and Y8 boys who take part in the National Athletics Final at Gateshead this weekend.
