Y13 Student’s Rugby Success
Congratulations to Rian Rowley, our Year 13 BTEC Sport student who recently represented England Academy Under 19 Rugby team v Wales in a 62-0 win! Rian is under contract at Leeds Rhinos, yet he still ensures that he thrives in his studies as St John Fisher. We are extremely proud of his commitment, hard-work and success and we look forward to seeing him thrive in the future. Well done, Rian!

Year 8 Boys Football Success
It has been a brilliant week for this team as they were crowned area 7-a-side champions winning all of their games on Wednesday. This was backed up with a fantastic performance in the County Cup where they beat Harrogate Grammar 9-0. Both teams included the following boys: Edward Gallagher, Matthew Riddington, Max Hope, Joe Taylor, Andrew Todd, Kiam Browne, Hughie Conway, James Rennocks, William Todd, Tyler Mercer, Joshua Brindley, Edward Ward, George Venn, George Acres, Armarni Forbes. Well done boys!
Y11A Boys’ Football Result

Another Victory for U15 Girls’ Football Team
Congratulations to the under 15 girls’ football team who are through to round 4 of the National Cup after a 5-1 victory against Woodhey School, Manchester. Well done, girls.
We are delighted to hear that Anna Forbes, (Year 7) and Georgina Gibson (Year 8) were extremely successful in the Level 3 and 4 Yorkshire Gymnastics Championships whilst representing Harrogate Gymnastics Club. Click on the link for full details.
Another Victory for Year 9 Boys’ Football Team
Congratulations to the Year 9 boys’ football team who are through to the next round of the North Yorkshire Cup after a convincing 8-1 win at home against Settle. The boys demonstrated a fantastic attitude, work ethic and team spirit which resulted in free flowing attacking football which was aesthetically pleasing.

Y7 & Y8 Girls’ Football & Y9 Netball Teams
The teams enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Ripon Outwood on Monday 21 October. Over 40 girls thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to represent St John Fisher and came away with fantastic results. It was great to see the girls improving with every game and playing with a smile on their face. Results: SJF Y7 Red won 6-0, SJF Y7 Yellow won 5-1, SJF Y8 won 16-0, SJF Y9 Netball won 15-10. A clean sweep. Well done, girls!
