England Call-Up for Head Girl
Congratulations to our Head Girl, Olivia Cook, who has been selected to represent England in the U18’s Football Camp which includes a match against Scotland U18’s.
Olivia departs for England duty today and this is what she had to say “I am really excited for the camp and to be representing my country. It’s a great opportunity to develop as a player and play with the best players in England and test myself against tough opposition. Thank you for the support”.
Olivia is not only a fantastic footballer, she is an incredible ambassador for St John Fisher. Olivia is a kind, caring and well respected member of the St John Fisher community and this year she was appointed Head Girl of Sixth Form by her peers and teachers, which speaks volumes about her positive attitude, personality and inspiring character.
It has been an honour to see Olivia develop into the footballer she is today. She has always played a vital role in the St John Fisher girls’ football team, captaining the side for seven consecutive years. This year, her sixth form team reached the semi-final of the National Cup, being recognised as one of the best four schools in England. Although they didn’t reach the final, this is an outstanding achievement and a fitting way for Olivia and the Year 13 Girls to end their footballing journey at St John Fisher.
We wish Olivia every success at England camp this week. We are delighted she is getting the recognition she truly deserves, and we know that this is just the start for her. An extraordinary person with a bright future ahead of her.
