KS3 Performing Arts Club
The KS3 Performing Arts Club was launched in 2012 by Miss Booth and Miss Thurlby, and continues to be one of the biggest and most popular clubs in the school. At one point we had over 100 members and had to use two rooms. At KS3 Performing Arts Club, Year 7 and 8 students learn skills in music, dance and drama and perform at regular intervals throughout the school year. We meet every week at lunchtime for an action-packed session, and students are always working on a new song, dance or scene. We perform in October at the KS3 Arts Festival, at Christmas, and then in January we begin rehearsing for our Junior Musical to be performed in July. Our most recent production was the Roald Dahl Spectacular – a showcase of songs, dance and acting scenes from Dahl’s best loved stories, and past productions include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2014), and Beauty and the Beast.
