In order to accommodate the possible longer journeys that students may have to undertake, students will be welcome in school from 7.30am and may stay in the Dining Hall until the normal school open time of 8.15am. For those students who travel by designated school bus, their bus company will be in touch directly with advice of any amendments to route and/or times. Afterschool clubs will not be running during this week. We are expecting students to attend school as normal during this period.
National Brass Band Finals Success
Congratulations to Y8 student Archie Hall who competed with Tewit Silver Band at the National Brass Band Finals last Saturday. The Band had already won the Regional Championships in March 2019. The hard work, commitment and determination paid off when they became 4th Section National Champions. Archie Hall was an amazing ambassador for the band and SJF school.

A call for help……
A group of keen scientists in sixth form are keen to establish a Cafe Scientifique this September. Cafe Scientifique is a forum for debating scientific issues in an informal setting. The format is a short talk followed by questions, answers and general discussion and therefore we are looking for speakers working in science and related fields to start an after school discussion over a cuppa. If you can help please contact Dr Langstaff at: email@example.com
