Senior Maths Challenge

The Senior Challenge is aimed at all 16-19 year olds studying mathematics. The top 60% of students nationally receive a gold, silver or bronze certificate in the ratio 1:2:3 and around 2000 of the top scorers are invited to take part in the Senior Kangaroo follow-on round.

This year our AS and A-Level mathematicians managed to achieve 3 Gold, 10 Silver and 19 Bronze certificates, with Theo Pedley (Y12), Thomas Bouchard (Y13) and Fearghal Lydon making it through to the Senior Kangaroo.

Senior Team Maths Challenge

Eight students from our associated sixth form took part in the team competition on the 22nd of November. They were split into 2 teams of 4 and had to tackle challenging algebraic or geometric problems across three rounds. They all showed great team spirit but were also capable of working on their own when required. Our teams were up against 22 other schools and so should be congratulated on coming 9th and 11th
