Year 8 HPV Immunisations
These will take place on 14 January at school. Booster injections for some Y9 and Y10 students will also take place on this day.
Carols by Candlelight Service – Wednesday 18 December
The Carols by Candlelight service at St. John Fisher is one of the school highlights of the year. In preparing to celebrate the coming of the Saviour, we hold a traditional nine lessons and carols service in our beautiful chapel. This year, the school Junior, Senior and Staff choir came together to lead our worship in a massed choir of over 80 singers. Click on the header for full details.
Science Christmas Tree Project
Students in the Science Department have been making a series of Christmas trees for the science labs. This project develops team working and leadership skills in a fun and seasonally festive way.
7B Boys’ Football vs Cannon Slade
Unfortunately not another big comeback, but the boys were exceptional. There was a first half penalty from Harry Dodgson and goals in the second half from Tyler Jeffery and Kuba Balcerzak with a 3-5 final score.

A Level Certificate Presentation
A reminder that this will take place for summer 2019 leavers in the Sixth Form Dining Room on Thursday 19th December from 2-3:30pm. This is an informal presentation for ex-students only and an opportunity for students to meet up with old friends.
Christmas Jumper Day Arrangements – Friday 20 December
This year we are fundraising for ‘Save the Children’. Students are expected to attend school in their uniform and in exchange for a small donation of £1 they are invited to wear a Christmas jumper in place of their blazer only. Payment can be made via ParentPay or cash on the day.
Indoor Rowing Competition – 11 December
SJF rowing team came 4th in the Leeds indoor team rowing competition, an event boasting half the schools in Leeds totalling 20 other teams! Captain Therese Tolan was excellent in her approach organising and supporting the team, but notable outstanding performances came from Ava Garcia, 3rd bronze medal and Ruiari McElwaine 1st gold medal. Also recognition to Beth Gosling and Ursula Holland with amazing team effort performances.
