Director of 6th Form Announcement

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tanner-Smith to the role of Director of Sixth form.

Mr Tanner-Smith has successfully led the science department to continually build on success at GCSE and A-level. He has worked closely with a wide range of schools to help them improve, through his role as a specialist leader of education. Mr Tanner-Smith has continued to build strong relationships with external bodies to provide further, extra-curriculum opportunities for our lower, and our associated sixth form pupils. Amongst these he had the pleasure of accompanying sixth form pupils to the interment of Stephen Hawking in Westminster Abbey, has pioneered a satellite component project in school, developed links with the Institute for Research in Schools, with pupils invited to showcase their work at a conference in June, and last summer he was invited to No.10 Downing Street to discuss secondary education with a group of academics and stakeholders, led by the Special Adviser to Rishi Sunak.
